Root Canals

When you have constant or increasing pain in a tooth or very deep decay you may require root canal therapy. While most people fear those words we can assure you that having a root canal can be a painless experience.

Once numbed the tooth requiring treatment will have any decay removed and be opened to the level of the nerve tissue. Instruments known as files will be used to remove the infected nerve tissue and the tooth will be irrigated and cleansed with a disinfectant.

Once the instrumentation is completed the root is filled with a rubber based material sealing the canal
from the bottom to the top.

Following this treatment you may require a crown to be placed to restore the tooth.
